The subject of angels is yet again one that is highly misunderstood. Angels, both good and bad, certainly do exist. There are many classes or types of angels which we will not get into here in any great detail. What is not commonly understood is that angels are servants of God as we should be. Examine the following passage:
The above passage makes it very clear that angels are servants of God as we should all be and that they are not to be worshipped or held in high esteem. The angel concludes by saying clearly that the apostle John should worship God instead of angels like himself. Furthermore, it may surprize you to learn that angels are assigned to work with and protect the human race as outlioned in the following passage referring to the purpose of angels:
This passage implies a number of things. Firstly, that angels are sent out to help and protect humans. Secondly, it implies that those who follow God receive a special form of protection. It's safe to say that without God's angels in and around our lives, we would most likey be dead! Psalm 91 listed below confirms that God's protection to those who serve Him is actually provided by angels.
This is not to say that angels are not all around us and help us in our daily lives regardless of our belief in God. Angels are the enforcers of the spirit world. This brings up the topic of guardian angels which we are all familiar with. We all have them around us but when we choose to serve God, we become a target from evil spirits. Angels are assigned to protect you. When you order an evil spirit to leave your presence, it is God's angels that do the work. Know that your authority through the name of Jesus has the backing of incredibly powerful warrior angels. So what about all the books on how to contact your guardian angels and how to communicate with them? If you don't believe in God or have no intention of serving Him and want to summon an angel out of interest or some new age belief, you may get a counterfeit. Look at the following scripture:
Just as an evil spirit pretends to be a deceased person in the form of a ghost, evil spirits can also mimic the appearance of an angel. You're taking a chance on calling an imposter angel if you don't use proper authority in the name of Jesus. If you treat the topic of angels as a new age philosophy, you are moving away from God. Angels are God's servants as we should be and nothing more. You can enlist the help of angels through prayer to God in the name of Jesus. A common prayer is to ask for God to place a hedge of protection around yourself, your home and property, and everything you own. The hedge in question is actually angels. The Book of Job refers to this hedge.
Although angels are everywhere and are always helping mankind according to God's will, a true believer in Jesus Christ can enlist their help simply by asking in the name of Jesus. Psalm 91 above implies that by serving God, you will receive full protection from evil spirits with the help of God's angels. Can angels be called to guard your haunted home or property? Yes they can. They can be posted in and around your home and property at your request. You can set them around you or your family members as you go about your day. Angels can be seen on occasion even for people without spiritual sight. They often appear as twinkling brilliant pinpoints or flashes of pure white light. They do not appear as orbs or ectomist. You may even have the honour of seeing one in full form. This is quite an experience. Be sure to confirm its form in Jesus' name to make sure it is authentic. Again, this may seem a little crazy to most people but it is the truth. The reality is that once you follow and serve God through Jesus Christ, you become a target for evil spirits and require extra protection. It is a simple truth.
